UNIQA IT Services GmbH (UITS), with over 800 employees, is part of UNIQA Group, which is one of the leading insurance groups in its core markets of Austria and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). UITS provides state-of-art IT development and application support services for 22.000 UNIQA employees and over nine million customers in 19 countries.

Challenge

UITS had limited support for its project managers for planning as well as for reporting activities. Different and too many applications and tools were in use: Planning and reporting were done in different systems, JIRA used for task management and resource management was not integrated in PPM at all. In addition, the highly complex systems prevented standardised processes.

Solution

The platform Clarity PPM was implemented, providing one integrated system for project management and resource management capabilities. This improved yearly planning possibilities for project managers. In addition, Clarity PPM is synchronised with existing applications, as for example JIRA and SAP.

Result

PMOs at UITS profit from one integrated platform that allows better planning and tracking in terms of resources and costs of the various incoming demands and ongoing projects and programs. Moreover, the solution provides the missing layer between IT operation and long-term IT strategy, thus increasing transparency and focusing on promising investments. Accordingly, UITS could reduce product development times (time-to-market) and to create more flexibility in product design to better meet their customer expectations.
